Upper Main Line YMCA
We are looking for committed volunteers to support programs, activities, and special events for community members with disabilities. Learn more about adaptive programming at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: ymcagbw.org/adaptive-programs-ymca. The current offerings include: Open Doors: Select Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please note that the YMCA of Greater Brandywine does not pay for admission/activity fees during off-site activities for volunteers. Lego Club: Select Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. A PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting (or Signed Waiver if you have lived in the state of PA for 10 years or more), and the completion of a brief Child Abuse Prevention Training Video are required in order to volunteer for this program. After sign-up, the system will prompt you with next steps on how to complete these credentials. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. All clothing must reflect the YMCA core values. Shirts must cover undergarments. Swimsuits may only be worn in the pool area. Sneakers or active footwear, as well as acceptable active attire, are required in the other areas of the facility.

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated volunteers to support the UMLY Swim Team coaching staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your love of swimming, help young athletes develop their skills, and support a positive team environment. Volunteers will assist lead coaches with practices, meets, and social events, help improve swimmers’ skills both in and out of the water, and encourage a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all athletes. The swim season runs year-round from September to July, with practices on weekday evenings and some weekends, as well as opportunities to help at weekend meets throughout the season. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. All clothing must reflect the YMCA core values. Shirts must cover undergarments. Swimsuits may only be worn in the pool area. Sneakers or active footwear, as well as acceptable active attire, are required in the other areas of the facility.

We are looking for individuals to help support activities, classes, and programs for our ForeverWell population (active adults 55 years of age and older). Meet new people and support fun, creative ways to stay healthy with fellow community members. Schedules vary by individual programs and events. Please connect with the branch lead to learn about specific volunteer opportunities with ForeverWell.
