Holiday Cheer at the YMCA: Come together to help support your neighbors this holiday season. Our three fall outreach programs include: 💗 Threads of Warmth The YGBW and Autodealers CARing for Kids Coat Program: A collaboration to provide young children in the community and in our care with a new coat. 💗 Bags of Gratitude (previously known as the Thanksgiving Baskets Program): An in-kind donation outreach initiative where YMCA and community members anonymously purchase and pack a YMCA bag filled with shelf-stable food items and a $25 Grocery Gift Card for participating member. BONUS: Any YGBW member who donates a bag of gratitude will be entered to win a free month of membership. Check with your welcome desk for details. 💗 Gifts of Joy (previously known as the Holiday Angels Program): An in-kind donation outreach initiative where YMCA and community members anonymously purchase new individualized gift items for participating local children. If we are unable to accommodate your wish list items, you will receive a Gift of Cheer Kit, which will include a $25 gift card to a large retail outlet, a new board game, a new craft, and a new cozy blanket. Upper Main Line YMCA
Join us on Saturday, October 19, 4PM to 8PM. Volunteers can sign up for the day of the event as well as various times throughout October to help with setup. The day-of event volunteer sessions run 3:15pm - 8:15pm. Day-of Event setup Volunteers are invited to sign up from 1pm - 4:00pm to help us make everything perfect for the event! We also have daytime and evening Event Setup sessions on various days between now and the event! Family members of Volunteers (who are not themselves volunteers) will need to purchase a ticket to attend the event. Grab a cape, hop on your broom and head over to the Y for a howling good time. Enjoy an evening of safe, family fun activities at the largest Halloween event on the Main Line. Families must pre-register to attend. We are looking for committed volunteers to support programs, activities, and special events for community members with diverse abilities. The current offerings at the branch include: Open Doors. Open Doors takes place on select Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., is a recreational social night for adults with diverse abilities. The group participates in a variety of enriching activities at the Y and engaging field trips within the community. Meet friends, have fun, and develop a healthy active lifestyle, all while building confidence and self-esteem!
