Octorara Program Center
Holiday Cheer at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine is a season of outreach to the community which provides an opportunity for in-kind donors to collect items for local families. Our goal is to provide each household who applies to the program with one complete meal kit, one $25 retail gift card, and 2-4 gift items for each child. Items will be picked up at the YMCA during a distribution event (for Holiday Cheer families only: registration is required). Help is needed to sponsor Meal Kits, Gift Cards, and Holiday Shop Items. Local high school students can get firsthand experience in our education programming and development. Please connect directly with Janet Kabakjian (jkabakjian@ymcagbw.org), Director of our Octorara Program Center, for questions and next steps. Currently approved volunteers can register using the position sign-up below. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. All clothing must reflect the YMCA core values. Shirts must cover undergarments. Swimsuits may only be worn in the pool area. Sneakers or active footwear, as well as acceptable active attire, are required in the other areas of the facility.
