Gather your team and volunteer at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine with projects that support our branches and the greater community, such as facility odds and ends, summer camp and grounds clean up, outreach collection drives, and more. This post is updated regularly so check back to see the different types of shifts, tasks, and positions listed below. Don't see anything posted but you are excited to lend a hand? All clothing must reflect the YMCA core values. Shirts must cover undergarments. Swimsuits may only be worn in the pool area. Through partnerships and outreach, the Fit Truk provides impactful fitness programming, health screenings and dynamic group training for all ages – extending our mission to bridge health equity gaps, foster stronger community connections and increase the overall health and wellness of Chester County. Volunteers are needed to support various outreach events. Use the calendar below to join us for a specific events. If you are a first-time volunteer with the Fit Truk, please reach out and connect with Wendy before your scheduled event date so you can get a full understanding of what to expect in your volunteer role. Most events involve being outside for the duration of the event as well as lifting up to 40 pounds. In collaboration with Cradles to Crayons, volunteers needed to help donated clothing and toys for local partner agencies. If you are under the age of 12 and want to volunteer, a guardian or responsible adult must register to volunteer alongside you for the duration of the event. Please include first name and last name of the youth volunteer in the comments section at sign up. We are looking for committed volunteers to support programs, activities, and special events for community members with disabilities. Help us continue to impact the community in a positive way! Brandy's pantry is open on Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about community and excited to help those in need. Click on the shifts below to schedule your shift. We are ideally looking for volunteers to help out on a consistent basis. This is a great opportunity to build leadership organizational skills. Learn more about the Y's Community Resource Pantries ymcagbw.org/community-resource-pantry. Volunteers are also needed to help the YMCA with projects such as facility cleanliness, painting, minor repairs, yard work, gardening and event set-up and break-down.
