We are looking for committed volunteers to support programs, activities, and special events for community members with diverse abilities. The current offerings include: Open Doors: Select Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please note that the YMCA of Greater Brandywine does not pay for admission/activity fees during off-site activities for volunteers. Lego Club: Select Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Click on the schedule below to sign up to volunteer. A PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI fingerprinting (or Signed Waiver if you have lived in the state of PA for 10 years or more), and the completion of a brief Child Abuse Prevention Training Video are required in order to volunteer for this program. After sign-up, the system will prompt you with next steps on how to complete these credentials. All clothing must reflect the YMCA core values. Shirts must cover undergarments. Swimsuits may only be worn in the pool area. Sneakers or active footwear, as well as acceptable active attire, are required in the other areas of the facility.
